"Joyful Kidinc" Interview by Kids Gazette

Funny. Stylish. Colorful. It's Kidinc. I often receive information about new products, just created fashion brands and everyone has a special, unique story. The story told, is usually more vivid than the product itself, but this time it is the other way round. Let me introduce!

1. What is Kidinc and your company philosophy?
Kidinc is a brand new kid’s wear brand that aims to challenge the norm with an arsenal of style. We believe everyone is born with the right to have style and attitude, and every baby has a voice to be heard. We hope to shock and awe, to infuse a little attitude into the kids who are cool enough to “Rock n’ Grow”.

2. Who is in the team of Kidinc?
Kidinc is the love child of Ter and Pat, a duo of design graduates from the U.S. Ter worked as a graphic designer for 10+ years, and Pat an advertising creative who then pursued her fate in fashion.

3. Where do you get inspiration from?
We get inspirations from music, arts, fashion, and movies we like.
The Kidinc Mouth graphic is actually inspired by Ter (one of the founders), whose mouth is a bit too large for his face.

4. Your favorite tee? And which was the first tee you created?
If we were to choose one, Marilyn would be our favorite tee. It’s pop-art infused with a bit of playfulness, a parody done with respect and light humor. It’s what Kidinc is all about: put a smile on people’s face (by literally putting a smile on Marilyn’s face). This is also the first tee that we’ve created.

5. How do you choose the characters?
We want to pay homage to icons of music, and pop culture, so we chose the characters based on the ones that have influenced the world the most.

6. What music can be heard in your office?
We listen to all kinds of music from Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Jazz, Electronic, etc. depending on our mood. Right now, we’re playing The Beastie Boys album – Hot Sauce Committee part two.

7. Imagine - how does a Kidinc kid look like and what is his life?
Kidinc is the new kid in town. He lives with his parents, 1 teenage brother, and their puppy named Bacon. He loves to smile. At a young age, he has opinions on his fashion choices, he is a big fan of Michael Jackson, loves stripes, jeans and fun tshirts! He loves the outdoors, enjoys playing in the park, singing while his dad plays the guitar, playing "make believe" with his dad and is a little explorer!

8. What are your future plans?
We will be adding more cool products like hoodies, bibs, and jeans.
